This group used salt water to represent the cool ocean during the day (High Pressure) and the heat was used to represent a hot beach (low pressure). The high pressure fills in the low pressure on the beach thus creating a sea breeze!!
cupcakes represent High and Low pressure- students are asked to move the cakes to show how high pressure moves into low pressure thus creating breezes.
The red ballloons are low pressure or low mass so it rises. The blue balloons show high pressure which is falling down into the ocean air and circulating back into shore creating a sea breeze.
Sea Breeze: Low pressure from land rises and moves over the ocean, drops (subsides) due to cold temperatures and then creates a high pressure sea breeze that rolls into the beach to fill un the low pressure.
